"We used Kasuba Photography and Films for our maternity and postpartum photos & film, and we are beyond thrilled. Not only is Sarah the most talented photographer, she is also one of the nicest people and a pleasure to work with. Sarah totally understood our vision for more casual/relaxed, less formal photos. We are so happy we have these photos and film, we will cherish them forever. We highly recommend Sarah!!"

FAQ
Why are films more expensive then photos?
Films are an investment and I make sure to always include payment plans. I pour my heart and soul into each and every one of my films. Editing a film can take an average between 20-25 hours, sometimes more. I believe in this work and trust me when I say you will never regret booking a session.
Do you travel?
Yes!! I love to travel. I only ask for you to please pay for travel expenses along with the price of the session.
What if my children aren't cooperative?
I totally get it and please don't worry! Sessions are slow and for a family film, I usually stay for an average of a few hours. I know when to give you space if needed. While I film and photograph in a documentary approach, I know when to put my camera down. I will wait and maybe capture some b-roll (beautiful and meaningful things in the environment). Also, please remember-I'm not looking for perfectly posed shots with smiles! Have fun, get dirty and play! I will capture these beautiful memories you are creating!
What should we do during our session?
Some ideas for things to do are cuddling/reading together, looking at a photo album together, playing games, baking together or playing in the backyard. We can split the session into two locations if you would like. Part of the session can be in-home and the rest can be at a favorite location such as a park or beach. I film and photograph in a documentary approach, meaning I will not be asking you to look at the camera or smile. I will set aside maybe 5-10 minutes for a few traditional smiling family portraits, if you would like. For the rest of the session though, you never have to worry about looking at the camera! It will be a relaxed session and hopefully one the kids will love, because they get to play and cuddle with you the whole time! :)
Should I prepare any audio for film?
The only time you need to prepare any audio is if you're booking a Love Letter, Legacy or an Artist Brand Film. I will offer guidance throughout the whole process. Other than that, if you're booking a Family Film please don't worry about preparing what to say. Just have fun playing with your kids! I edit down to include the best audio bits when it comes time to craft your film.
Can we pick our own music?
Choosing a song is a huge part of my editing process. One family may have a lot of audio from their session with kids playing and laughing. Another family may have more of a calm session with a newborn who is peacefully napping. I choose music depending on the mood and feel of the session. I only use licensed music so I'm not able to use any popular songs you may hear on the radio. Please leave the music selection to me and I will do my best to find the perfect song that fits well for your family!
Are photos included in film sessions?
Yes! I always include photos. On average, I usually deliver around 80 or so photos in a gallery.
Does it matter if our house is messy?
Please don't worry about cleaning or organizing! I photograph and film in a way that will take the focus away from any of the clutter you may have in the background. Really, it's ok. Our house always has clutter. This is real life. Let's create and capture these beautiful memories!
What should I wear?
Please wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable! I always leave this up to families, but I'm happy to offer advice if you would like.
When is the best time to book a film?
Now! Really! :) Please don't wait for the perfect moment. It's ok if your home is messy. Maybe you're waiting to renovate part of your home. Maybe you're thinking you and your partner need to get back to the gym? Please, don't worry about any of this! This is your beautiful, amazing life, perfect as it is right now. Let's capture this time in your children's life.
